Mickey & Minnie, Thelma & Louise, Tom & Jerry, Bert & Ernie, Burgers & Fries, Bonnie & Clyde, salt & pepper, or heck what about nail polish and acetone… lol! The list goes on and on of great duos and pairs.
For February, the Polish Pickup theme was duos and pairs and the makers took an interesting twist using one of the following options:
a) PPU/IPU – brand created a polish for PPU and a product for IPU. Please note, IPU will be available 2/15-2/18
b) Partners – 2 makers paired together to each create a polish inspired by a famous duo/pair.
c) PPU/brand site – maker created 2 polishes. One will be sold on PPU site and the other will be sold on their brand site during the same timeframe as PPU
d) Single polish – maker created a single polished based on a famous duo/pair
I hope this all makes sense but what can I say, it’s Friday and I’ve already had my lunch so I’m running on fumes… lol!

Hey Sugas!! I took a very impromptu break for no other reason than to relax. Since Monday was a holiday and I didn’t have to work, I kicked back and enjoyed a Law & Order: SVU marathon. But I’m back and I have some great things lined up starting with a ‘new to me’ brand, Louise Lacquer.
After years of research combined with trial and error, Louise Lacquer launched in August 2018. Based in Northeastern Connecticut, Louise Lacquer is a 10-free, vegan and cruelty free independently run artisan nail polish company handcrafting each bottle in small batches.
Today I have the Valentine’s Day Collection along with 3 additional polishes all of which are currently available. And in case you didn’t know, Valentine’s Day holds a special place in my heart as it is my anniversary. February 14th, 2014, Jason and I said ‘I do’! So celebrate with me and enjoy this amazing collection and learn a little French while you’re at it.

Hey Sugas!!! In middle and high school I had a best friend and we shared clothes all the time. When we’d go shopping we purposely didn’t buy the same thing because we know that we would just share and swamp them later. Well the indie polish world had allowed me to do just that with a good friend of mine, Nicole but you may know her as @mommyrichietoo on IG. And let’s face it, polish comes in 1 size fits all so you dont have have to worry about if it’s going to fit.
In my swap I received several polishes from Nvr Enuff Polish (NEP) including The World Es Mi Familia. This 5 piece collection was inspired by the Disney Pixar film, COCO and originally released 10/13 at The Indie Shop. The collection then released online on 10/20 for $11 each/$50 collection. I’m not sure if this collection or any of its polishes will be re-released but it’s is too gorgeous not to share and who knows, maybe you can grab it in a destash or swap 😉.

Hey Sugas!! Well I survived the first snow of the season and of the new year… yay! We weren’t hit too hard but it was enough for the schools to close. While the kids and Jason enjoyed their day off, I was still working…. blah!
As you may or may not have noticed, I didn’t post yesterday as I was trying to recuperate from the Road to Polish Con New Orleans Spring 2019 post that I put up on Monday. Featured in that post was 13 of the 26 brands that will be represented at Polish Con and as you may have guessed, Sassy Sauce is among them. And fingers crossed, I too will be at Polish Con hob-knobbing with the who’s who of the indie polish world.
But today I am back with the 4 new polishes from January 2019 releases. Let’s check them out!

Hey Sugas!!! The moment we’ve all waited for is finally upon us… Road to Polish Con (RTPC)!!!! If you’re like me, it seems as if the last Polish Con was a lifetime ago when in reality is was only 8 months ago.
But alas, here we are, in the countdown to one of the most sought after indie nail polish conventions in the US. I am doubly excited because this spring, Polish Con is taking over my dream state of Louisiana!!! That’s right, Polish Con is taking over the BIG EASY!!! Then I heard the news last year, I promised myself that this may be a once in a lifetime opportunity for me to shop indie polish and walk Bourbon St. all in the same weekend, so this is a MUST for me!!
But before we get to Polish Con (PC) we have to take a road trip on the Road to Polish Con. This year things are being done slightly different in that the brands have been separated into 2 groups for RTPC sales. Group A features 13 of our favorite brands and will be available starting Friday, January 18th thru Sunday, February 3rd. Be sure to act fast, these exclusive polishes will only be available for a limited time and overpours may be offered at the event (at maker discretion).
So without further delay, here are your Group A RPTC brands and polishes…

After a mini break or vacation, one tends to come back rejuvenated, refreshed, renewed and many more re- words that I’m just too lazy to list but you get the point and such is the case for Meagan of Ethereal Lacquer. Like many makers, Meagan took time during the holidays to enjoy with family and loved ones, and now that she has returned…. watch out!!
Ethereal Lacquer is reopening the shop Saturday, January 12th with a powerhouse preorder collection, Mysticism and the highly sought after, fan favorite, Bauble. The Mysticism Collection and is comprised of 6 polishes featuring a range of color shifting shimmer and flakes. And Bauble…. well…. you just have to see it to believe it!
