Moore Swatches: LynB Designs POTM and Geekish Glitter Lacquer Collab

Hey Sugas! By the time you read this, I will be officially on my 2nd day of vacation and far away from my computer!! But my current reality is, it is Sunday evening, way past my bedtime and I have washed 4 loads of laundry, packed for vacation, enjoyed dinner and I’m preparing the scheduled posts for the Queendom aka my blog. After all of that I am feeling very accomplished and this vacation is well deserved.

Moore News You Can Use: Polish Con NY 2018 Recap

My day started at 5 am! But it wasn’t just one of those awful, wake up and go to work mornings when I would normally moan and groan all the way to my desk. It was POLISH CON DAY!!! I literally jumped out of the bed, ran to the shower and was ready to walk out of the door in 25 mins….that’s a personal best for me. I was like a kid on Christmas morning!

I could smell the polish in the air. I had been looking forward to since the NY location was announced in January. It was the day when I was to unite with my fellow polish sisters and enjoy the creations of the indie polish makers. Nothing could go wrong that day!

Although I wasn’t looking forward to the 4.5 hour drive, my friend Yvette of Yvyvernis made it all better as we were able to chat about polish.  Jason is a good sport and all, but I swear sometimes he tunes me out.

White Plains bound and ready to get the show on the road!!

As we entered the main ballroom of the Crowne Plaza were Polish Con was being held, it was like entering… paradise. A smile came over me that I swear could be seen in outer space. I squealed like a 13 year old girl being asked to the school dance.

Jason and I put our stuff down and received our marching orders from Mariah whose table we were helping at and then we had some time to tour the room and do a little shpping… while it was still quite. Some of the vendors were already hard at work and others were done!

Moore Swatches: LynB Designs – Shimmer Me This

Hey Sugas! If it’s not one thing, it’s another. Just when things were running smoothly, here comes a curve ball. There I was yesterday evening, minding my business, preparing for the beach and Jason informs me that ‘Houston, we have a problem,’ with our van. Our 2006 Honda Odyssey may need the belt replaced. Seriously?! I just can’t!

Now, I’m not a car person, I know how to put the key in the ignition and drive so immediately I’m thinking that it’s going to cost us hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to fix. We don’t have that kinda money just lying around, I just got back from Polish Con and we leave for the vacation in 5 days.  So here I am with a bum neck and shoulder and we’re down a vehicle. I know it will all work itself out and I hope when we have it looked at on Friday, it’s something simple and doesn’t cost a small fortune to fix, but can I just say, I am looking forward to this vacation more than ever now. Sorry, for the rant, I just needed to vent.

Moore Swatches: Sassy Sauce Polish – June 2018 Release

Hey Sugas! I woke with the worst neck/shoulder pain EVER!! #ugh I have been dealing with soreness and limited mobility in the same spot for a few months but I am terrified of going to the doctor to get it checked out. But I guess it’s time I suck it up and make an appointment. I’ll keep you updated but in the meantime, just send good, positive vibes my way.

Pain or not, this time next week, I’ll be sitting oceanside at VA Beach on vacay with Jason, the kids, my mom and my cousin and his family. I’m so excited for this trip. We have been planning it for months and finally, it’s almost here. This will probably be the highlight of my summer because the kids will occupy the rest of it with their endless activities and events. But as much as it might sound like I am complaining – and most times I am, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Moore Swatches: Pahlish – Mukashi (Once Upon a Time) Collection (Partial)

It’s just before 8am est on Friday morning and I have already been asked, what are we doing today… twice by 2 different children of mine *insert sigh here*. Like don’t siblings communicate and select one lucky one to ask the questions? I have no personal experience being an only child, but I always thought that’s how it went. No?

Yes, Jason and I were nice enough to allow the kids not to go to school today and start their summer break early. Yippee! *said in my most sarcastic voice ever!

You see, Jason gets to leave out of the house for work. I, on the other hand, only have to travel to the basement to work. That means I get to hear the yelling and fussing that is sure to take place this summer…for 11 weeks.

So couple that with being up since 4:30am after getting to bed at almost midnight means that I need coffee, and lots of it, to make it through the day. But I should look on the bright side….

I’ll let you know when I find it.

On to the polish…
