Good Afternoon and happy 1st day of May, I hope this post finds you all well. This is a very impromptu post so forgive me if it appears rushed.
I wanted to share something personal about me and someone very near and dear to my heart. If you follow me on IG then you already know what this is about….
I lost my dad, Michael, to a type of malignant brain tumor known as glioblastoma. My dad was diagnosed in March 2013 and passed away Dec. 31st, 2014, he was only 56. My dad was full of life, funny, loved his family and had a sweet tooth like no other. He loved music, especially the oldies but goodies and basketball. My dad was a huge Dallas Cowboys and Lakers fan. I think about and miss my dad everyday, I’d give anything to have him here again.
May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month and the awareness color is gray, hence, #gograyinmay. For the past few years, I have openly shared my story on IG and invited everyone to join me in raising awareness, supporting one another and doing our part to fight this terrible disease!
I, have challenged myself to complete 31 days of gray manis for the month of May which I’ll post on IG. I invite you to also do 1, 2, 6, or as many gray manicures (any finish, w/ or w/o nail art) and post to IG using caption #btam_teammichael2018 and tag me in the post!
In addition to the gray mani challenge, this year, I am partnering with Jior Couture and EA Polish to raise funds for Chetan Bettegowda, M.D., Ph.D. at John Hopkins Cancer Research in honor of my dad. Each maker has agreed to donate 30% of their May sales to this organization and I have agreed to match their contribution.
So that’s it in a nutshell! If you would like to participate in the gray mani challenge, I’d love to have you join and don’t forget support these two indie brands in their effort to raise money.
Lastly, use my discount code, KRYSX15 for 15% off your order with EA Polish.
Awwwww this is awesome!!!!❤️😘❤️😘❤️ You look like your Dad!!! ❤️
