Hey Sugas! It’s finally beginning to look a lot like spring here in the mid-Atlantic. I just checked the weather forecast and we’re supposed to be in the high 70s/low-mid 80s all week. Mother nature decided to stop playing games and give us what we need, sunny skies and warm weather. So as we say goodbye to April and hello to May, we can do so with winter coats…lol.

Hey Sugas! Happy Friday and all that jazz. I’m so happy you’re here because I have the new, upcoming RTPC week 7 polishes to show you! I know what you’re probably thinking, “Krystal, enough! Moore Swatches: May Polish Pickup – 1990’s

I was born in the 80’s but raised in 90’s! 1990, when I turned 7 to 1999 when I turned 16, were some of the best years! I experienced elementary, middle and high school during those times. It was before I had kids and I was carefree to do as I pleased…within reason. I mean lets face it, I was still a child so I still had to abide my parent rules, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t try to get away with murder. 🙂

I remember getting on the bus and going to the mall to hang out with friends at the food court…that was the thing to do on Friday and Saturday nights. Might I add, I had no money but it was fun! The world was less complicated at that time; or at least it felt that way. The 90’s was the decade that pagers, portable cd players and cell phone gain massive popularity and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Friends played on every TV. Ahhhhh, if I could rewind the hands of time!

Today I have the May Polish Pickup which features polishes themed around the… 90’s! As you take this trip down memory lane, what were some of you best memories? Let me know in the comments!

The Queen’s Critique: Southern Comforts

I was first “introduced” to Tamara, owner of Southern Comforts on IG back in January 2018. Over the course of a few months, we developed an acquaintance as I followed her brand and she commented on a few swatch pictures.

During the course of this time, I invited her to be a guest on my Up Close & Personal 2.0 Live Facebook Q&A, which you can find here! As Tamara continued to talk about her brand, she sold me by the end of the hour. I sent her my list and customized a few scents and a week later, my order had arrived. I was so excited!

The following morning, a Saturday, I decided to pamper myself with my Southern Comforts, seeing as though I didn’t have anywhere to go until later that morning. I hopped in the shower using the Shower Gel/Body Wash and finished up with the remaining items.

Moore Swatches: Lemming Lacquer – Ruth’s Alternative Caring Collection and Springtime in Faerie Anniversary Quad

So Jason and I played hookie from work yesterday and had a date day. I just love spending time with him, we have the best time and most of time we do NOTHING!!! We sit home, watch movies and pig out on take-out and junk food. Now this is nothing different from any other day but we get to enjoy it WITHOUT the kids. No ‘mommy’ this and ‘daddy’ that… #winning! 

The best part of the day was….. I got to take a nap! Yep, a nap in the middle of the day! After eating I caught the itis and was knocked out on the couch for what felt like 15 mins but Jason says it was about an hour and a half. I’m still giving him the side-eye on that one. But nonetheless, I felt great when I woke up.

One would think that I would have worked on this post yesterday, but no, I am scrabbling now trying to get it up as the 12 featured polishes release TOMORROW!!!

Today I have the Ruth’s Alternative Caring Collection and Springtime in Faerie Anniversary Quad from Lemming Lacquer.

Moore Swatches: Bee’s Knees Lacquer – Yellow Polish Lovers Facebook Group Custom, April COTM Quad and New Arcana Trio

The days of speakeasies, flappers and the Charleston may be that of the past but the ‘slang’ of the era still lives on. The phrase ‘the bees knees’ may not be found in the dictionary but after many google searches, I found the following ‘definitions’, something or someone excellent, surpassingly wonderful, or cool, simply put, it means ‘the best’!

Now I’m not sure if that had anything to do with why Sarah decided to name her brand ‘Bee’s Knees Lacquer’, but I do know that’s what you’re gonna get, the best!
