The Queen’s Critique: Jesse’s Girl – GlowStix and Lipstick

Are you fashion forward but don’t want to break the bank to look good? Do you like top-quality, trends without the high-end price tags?

If you answered yes to either or both of these questions, then today’s post is for you!

Now you may or may not know that I am not much of a makeup girl but my girls and I do like experimenting with looks and colors. We like watching YouTube tutorial and giving each other makeovers, dressing up, doing manis/pedis and putting on a fashion show for Jason…lol. But as you know, experimenting with everything you see on YouTube can get costly so I am beyond over joyed that we can have girls night on a budget.

Jesse’s girl is expanding their award-winning product line to now include GlowStix, holographic lip gloss!!! These show-stopping, liquid crystal technology glosses allow you wear your holo on your lips!!!!

And if that wasn’t enough, Jesse’s Girl is also reintroducing their 12 new lipstick shades with various formulas and finishes in a newly designs case.

Overall Thoughts – Jesse’s Girl – GlowStix and Lipstick

Overall: The entire time I was opening the packages my jaw was on the floor. Each one was met with ‘I love this one’ and ‘this one is my fave’. Once I had them all opened and the girls came home from school I called them to office and showed them the GlowStix. They were and still are so excited and can’t wait for Girls Night! We have yet to have an official one, but they did help me with swatching. As you may have noticed, the GlowStix didn’t pop as much as I would have like them to on my skin tone but I’m sure they will look great on my girls as they are slightly lighter complexion or even layers over a base.

As for the lipsticks, some of the shades were not in my color wheel but I did love their creaminess and how easy they were to apply and take off.

Formula / Application: no issues to report. application is smooth and easy to apply. no staining but did have some smudging and they did come off upon drinking. The glosses did not leave a thick, heavy feeling.

The Queen’s Choice: GlowStix – Aurora and Lipstick – Elizabeth

  1. I did try the Glow Stix gloss in Wicked last year; total waste of money to me, totally disappointing, looked like absolutely nothing on the lips, only pretty in the bottle ;-p
