Moore Swatches: Smokey Mountain Lacquers – April Blogger Collab

***PRESS (PR) SAMPLE NOTICE ***

It’s always an honor when you are given the opportunity to work with a maker to swatch and review their polish(es). It’s something extra special when you collab with a most awesomely, amazing maker to create a polish. I was afforded to opportunity to collab with Kim of Smokey Mountain Lacquers (SML) for her April Blogger polish.I immediately jumped at the chance because I am trying to find grey polishes to wear during the month of May to raise awareness for Brain Cancer Awareness. I sent her the following swatch board and she went to work.

A few days later, she came back with a prototype which we tweaked slightly and finally we agreed on…

But then I was stuck trying to come up with a name. Luckily, Kim was open to the idea of me hosting a naming giveaway on my Facebook Page. I’d like to thank everyone that entered my naming giveaway and to congratulate Doris, for the winning name!

If you answered yes to either or both of these questions, then today’s post is for you!

Now you may or may not know that I am not much of a makeup girl but my girls and I do like experimenting with looks and colors. We like watching YouTube tutorial and giving each other makeovers, dressing up, doing manis/pedis and putting on a fashion show for Jason…lol. But as you know, experimenting with everything you see on YouTube can get costly so I am beyond over joyed that we can have girls night on a budget.

Jesse’s girl is expanding their award-winning product line to now include GlowStix, holographic lip gloss!!! These show-stopping, liquid crystal technology glosses allow you wear your holo on your lips!!!!

And if that wasn’t enough, Jesse’s Girl is also reintroducing their 12 new lipstick shades with various formulas and finishes in a newly designs case.

Moore Swatches: Cirque Colors – The Desert Bloom Collection Spring 2018

***PRESS (PR) SAMPLE NOTICE ***

Desert as a noun is defined as “a dry, barren area of land, especially one covered with sand, that is characteristically desolate, waterless, and without vegetation.” One may also think of tumbleweed, cactus and hot. But despite the common conceptions of deserts as dry and hot, there are cold deserts as well. The largest hot desert in the world, northern Africa’s Sahara, reaches temperatures of up to 122 degrees Fahrenheit during the day. But some deserts are always cold, like the Gobi desert in Asia.

Fun Fact: deserts cover more than one fifth of the Earth’s land, and they are found on every continent and a place that receives less than 10 inches of rain per year is considered a desert.

Well you can rest assured that the new collection from Cirque Colors is anything but. Today I have the 9 piece Desert Bloom Spring 2018 Collection featuring 3 speckled and 6 shimmer holo sparkle polishes. So prepare to awaken your next mani with painted skies, desert landscapes and budding wildflowers inspired by colors of the desert.

Enjoy…

Moore Swatches: LynB Designs – April 2018 POTM

***PRESS (PR) SAMPLE NOTICE ***

Hey Sugas! TGIF!!! I am so excited today because the kids are back in school today after being out for 2 days due to the snow that we got this past Tuesday. They slept in, ate, watched tv and ate…in that order. But I have to give them their props, they did wash 3 loads of laundry. Mind you I didn’t say fold and out away, just wash. so now I have 3 baskets of clean clothes in my room; guess what I’ll be doing tonight after work. #sigh But I am happy they are washed, that’s half the battle right there. But alas, finally I am able to gather my thoughts, enjoy the peace and quite and not have to feed them every 15 minutes…lol!

In my thought gathering process this morning over my first cup of coffee, it dawned on me….Easter is right around the corner. Can you believe that we are less than 2 weeks from April? You know that means, a new month and a new POTM from LynB Designs. Inspired by April’s birthstone diamond, Jennalyn created Forever which can be layered over other polishes for an add sparkle or worn alone.

Moore Swatches: Geekish Glitter Lacquer – The Who Dunnit Collection

***PRESS (PR) SAMPLE NOTICE ***

Jason, the kids and I LOVE family game night!!! Recently we, even added puzzles and although the kids get frustrated, they enjoy them too. But I have a confession, which is also fun fact #36 about me, I have never played the game of Clue! *hides face in shame* Can you believe that? Well it’s true, 34 years of life and I’ve never played Clue. I’m more of a Monopoly kinda gal but with Toys R Us going out of business I think Clue may be one I’ll have to add to my family’s arsenal of games.

Why the new excitement about Clue? I blame it on Lexi of Geekish Glitter Lacquer. She had created The Who Dunnit Collection, an 8-piece set inspired by her all-time favorite game and movie, you guessed it….Clue!

Before we head into the swatches, let’s find out about Lexi.

“I’ve been involved in the polish world actively since March 2015 as Geekish Glitter on Instagram. Before that, I was introduced to the world of indie nail polish and there has been no turning back since then. I’m in love with all things fandom and geeky. It only seemed like the normal route to take to mix polish and my interests. Thus Geekish Glitter Lacquer was born. My hope is to connect with everyone who loves polish and their interests.

Geekish Glitter Lacquer is created by me and mixed by me. I take inspiration from my interests in fandom and I love collaborating with other polish and fandom lovers. The polishes are mixed in an animal free and smoke free house. Everything is tested thoroughly by myself and other testers before being sent to all of you!”

So there you have it! Currently, Geekish Glitter Lacquers features multiple collection on their site including Batman’s Robins Collection and Wayward Son’s Collection just to name a few. So let’s get to it, the Who Dunnit Collection!

Enjoy…

Moore Swatches: Bee’s Knees Lacquer – The Indie Shop (TIS) – ATL and The Rainbow Brite Collection

***PRESS (PR) SAMPLE NOTICE ***

Hey Sugas! Happy First Day of Spring! I hope your spring has started with better weather than I’m experiencing here in Maryland. I awoke this morning to freezing rain which quickly turned into snow. What I expected and was hoping for this morning was to wake up to sunny, blue skies and 60+ degree weather.

“Attention Old Man Winter, in case you missed the memo, your turn is over and its now time for Spring!”

There is nothing bring about grey skies and a high of 35, #sigh! I know I shouldn’t complain because it could be worse but I’m so over it already. It appears the only bright thing around here is the Rainbow Bite Collection from Bee’s Knees and The Indie Shop (TIS) ATL Exclusives.

When you read ‘Rainbow Brite’, you may automatically assume neon but this collection is in a class all it’s own. Inspired by the movie Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer as well as the series, every single polish in the collection includes the pigment found in House on Haunted Chill. I’ll wait for you to settle down….hehehehehe.

The Rainbow Bite Collection features 7 colors and will be debuting at the Indie Shop Atlanta on 3/24. They will also be up for sale on the website after the show is over.

Along with the Rainbow Brites, Sarah has created 3 Walking Dead inspired polishes exclusively for The Indie Shop Atlanta.
