Moore Nail Mail: Bee’s Knees Lacquer

I didn’t think I could do it but I managed to get 5 polished swatched today AND write this post! I just couldn’t delay showing off my recent purchase until next week, so I apologize in advance if my swatches aren’t up to par and you find a few spelling mistakes or grammatical errors. Because of my unrelenting need to get this post up, I also decided to forego nail art swatches for these polishes but rest assured you will see them again very soon!

What’s all the buzz you ask? Well, it’s Bee’s Knees of course!! I can NOT believe I allowed 2017 to go by and not try this brand! The buck stops here because I can tell you that if these 5 polishes I picked up are any indication of what Sara is creating then I am here for it honey! Yaaaasssss!!!

I decided for the new year that I was going to shop a ‘new to me’ brand every month. I decided to start with Bee’s Knees because I had heard and read nothing but positive reviews. It was a no brainer. Sara, owner/creator of Bee’s Knees, was having a sale so I decided to take advantage. With the help of my friends on IG recommending their faves, I decided on 5. But let’s be honest, I could have bought everything if my wallet allowed it.

Nevertheless, I am extremely pleased with my picks. So without further delay, let’s jump into the swatches.

**All swatches are done using Commitment Issues (liquid latex peel off base coat) by Vapid, Top Coat (glossy QDTC) by Glisten & Glow and Onward Through the Fog (matte topcoat) by Vapid. Swatch photos are taken using artificial lights.**

Which Witch Trial

A mid-toned gray crème with orange to gold multichrome shimmer and glowing ruby red flakies

A Good Amount of Blood

A black cherry base with linear holo and purple shimmer

A gunmetal ultra holo with bronze and red shimmer, gunmetal flakies and iridescent flakies

House on Haunted Chill

A sheer blurple base with opalescent shifting glitter

Space Garbage

An ultra holo with pink to gold shimmer and green to blue to purple color shifting flakies

Overall Thoughts – Bee’s Knees Lacquer

Formula / Application: creamy, rich, decadent and a dream to apply!! Great coverage on just 1 coat!

Opacity: swatch shown with 2 easy coats

Price: see site

Availability: see site

Overall: I am kicking myself for not trying this brand earlier, I’ve been missing out on such a mind-blowing brand. If the polishes weren’t enough, Sara has very quick shipping TAT. I ordered on Suday, Dec. 31st and received my babies on Thursday, Jan. 4th.

What should I try next month? Any recommendations?

  1. Giiiiiirl I’m so happy you got to experience Sarah’s polishes. They are a dream to apply and I am addicted – with almost 30 of them. I haven’t tried A Good Amount Of Blood yet (just got it) but I can’t wait after seeing your swatch! I am amazed you swatched all 5 and made a post in 1 day! Wow
