The Queen’s Critique: NailDrama Box – Steampunk

According to, Steampunk is defined as, ‘a genre of science fiction that has a historical setting and typically features steam-powered machinery rather than advanced technology,’ OR ‘a style of design and fashion that combines historical elements with anachronistic technological features inspired by science fiction.’

Now, I’m not really into sci-fi all that much so to really understand this months NailDrama Box, I had to really do some research. I used google to find images because upon opening the package I was like, “what the world?! What am I supposed to do with this?” I found that this genre is extremely popular and apparently I’ve been living under a rock.

With the all sorts of cool contraptions, gears, gadgets and steam, the Steampunk theme didn’t seem terrifying anymore, but instead challenging and fun. As you will see from the manis I did, that this box included all sorts of 3D charms. I usually don’t use them, but it was interesting and actually made me want to use them more.

If you recall from my first experience with the NailDrama – Paris box and how excited I was about this theme boxed that gets delivered to your mailbox full of possibility. The themes makes you think outside of the box and work with items that you may not normally use. For only $11.99 (INCLUDES SHIPPING), you get 5-6 different nail art items based on the months theme. And because this is a subscription box, you can sign up for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months with discounts starting at 6 months subscriptions… FREE SHIPPING!!!

Be sure to check out the NailDrama IG page, link below on the 1st of each month when a sneak preview of the months theme will be revealed.

Overall Thoughts – NailDrama Box – Steampunk

Overall: I don’t think I did half bad. I loved the glitter polish from Peachtree and even though the water decals were too short for my nails, I like how I covered them with foil (not included) and the glitter polish.
