Swatch & Review: Blush Lacquer – Flower Gathering Collection

***PRESS (PR) SAMPLE NOTICE ***

Good Morning and happy Wednesday! Before we get into today’s S&R review I just wanted to say that I am BIG on family! It is extremely important to me and I love spending time with my hubby and kids. Dinner is one of the few times we can all sit together in one place, without electronics and talk. We discuss our day, goals, funny jokes…anything, and it doesn’t hurt that we can enjoy a good meal too. This week has been cray-cray with gymnastics, concerts, GOTR, basketball, homework, school, etc. Everyone is coming and going at different times so it’s been hard to sit and enjoy dinner together, but not tonight, tonight, even though my son has basketball practice, I am determined to make sure we are all at the table TOGETHER!  Best part is, dinner is already marinating in the fridge, so you know its gonna be good!

But that’s enough about me and my craziness, let’s talk polish! Today I have the six piece collection, Flower Gathering, from Blush Lacquer. I had the amazing pleasure of meeting Victoria at Polish Con, and let me just say, she is just as amazing in person. You all know I loooove me some Blush Lacquers, primarily for the amazingness that Victoria puts in a bottle but second to that is the AWESOME brush. I have a wider nail bed so the wide bush is exactly what I need. This collection features super sparkly, holographic shimmers in delicate spring shades inspired by Victoria’s favorite poem, Flower Gathering by Robert Frost.

All the polishes were named after lines in the poem. 🙂

I left you in the morning,

And in the morning glow

You walked a way beside me

To make me sad to go.

Do you know me in the gloaming?

Gaunt and dusty grey with roaming.

Are you dumb because you know me not?

Or dumb because you know?

All for me? And not a question,

For the faded flowers gay

That could take me from beside you

For the ages of a day.

They are yours and be the measure

Of their worth for you to treasure,

The measure of the little while

That I’ve been long away.

 Overall Thoughts

Formula / Application: no issues to report. formula is easy to apply and builds up well in 2-3 coats. Please note that some of the larger holographic flakies are actually glitter. I have not found them difficult to remove, as I think they are cut thinner than most typical glitters.

Opacity: 3 coats. Please note, I have a very pronounced nail line/free edge and have found that most, if not all, polish require for me to do 3 coats. This may very for others and may only need 2.

Price: $61.50/set or $10.25/each (Morning Glow is a free polish with purchase of other 6, not available individually)

Availability: current

Overall: I adore this collect! I was hesitant at first because of the larger glitters, I was afraid of them drying too textured but with a good, glossy tc, everything laid flat and smooth. I also think its a perfectly suitable collection of office jobs and occupations that require a subtle mani.
