Swatch & Review: Moonflower – Spring 2017 (partial)

***PRESS (PR) SAMPLE NOTICE ***

I’m baaaack! I hope you all are having a terrific Tuesday and you’re ready for yet another S&R.

Today I have a partial review of the new preorder release, Spring 2017 Pastel Stamping Polish Collection from Moonflower Polish. Nadia Velez is the mastermind creator and maker behind this brand which recently launched Feb 2017. That launch took the stamping world to the next level with its inaugural collection, Rainbow Cremes (also stamping polish and currently available). You can see how these polishes stamp here.

In true Queendom fashion, let’s find out a little more about Nadia. Blogger at Mama Hearts Polish since 2014, she began creating her own line of polish has something she’s always wanted to do. It’s the best to combine her love of nail art with her background in fine arts and knowledge about pigments and color.”

“Born and raised in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, a lot of her polishes will pay homage to my island and culture, mainly through the use of Spanish for the names.”

“Nadia is currently based in Longwood FL and when she’s not mixing polish or blogging, she can be found working on her full time job as a stay-at-home mom of 2 kids and a dog.”**

With that said, I think it’s the prefect time to jump into some PASTELS!!! Because after all, what would Spring and Summer be without them!

**All swatches are done using Commitment Issue Peel-off Base Coat by Vapid, QDTC by 2-Bit (shiny) and Matte Me topcoat by Jior Couture (matte). Swatch photos are taken using artificial lights.**

How do they stamp?img_9167img_9166Overall Thoughts

Formula / Application: amazingly opaque. When used as a regular polish, I did have some streaking but they evened out perfectly with a second coat. When used in their intended form, a stamping polish, they pop over both black and white.

Opacity: 2 coats

Price: full size (15 ml) $70 set/$9 each

Mini size (7 ml) $38 set/$5 each

Availability: Preorder thru 5/12

Overall: I really love these stamping polish. I didn’t experience any smearing or dragging and they show up extremely well over light and dark colors. No harsh smell and are 5 free.
