Hey y’all, I’m back today with my swatch and review of the Southern Belle Collection released Dec. 1st by Sweetpea Polish. This is a 7-piece collection and each polish is named after southern phrase. Swatching this collection was somewhat nostalgic in that, I myself have used these phrases numerous times because I grew up hearing the older generation of my family saying them. The collection uses 7 very popular ones, but as I was swatching I thought of a few more:

*Fixin’ to
*Give me some sugar
*Playing possum
*I Reckon
*Supper
*Over Yonder

Well, I reckon we should get in to the swatches, don’t you? But before we do, if you haven’t already had a chance to read my interview with Morgan Langley, maker and creator of Sweetpea Polish, be sure you do here. To those that have, bless your heart!

**All swatches are done using Commitment Issue Peel-off Base Coat by Vapid and Tonic Top Coat by Tonic Nail Polish (shiny) and Matte Me by Jior Couture (matte). Swatch photos are taken using artificial lights.**

Overall Thoughts

Formula: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 out of 5.  No issues to report.

Opaqueness: ♥♥♥♥ 4 out of 5 because these polishes are opaque in 2-3 coats. I would recommend a white base under Hush you Mouth if VNL is an issue for you.

Overall: ♥♥♥♥ this collection is getting a 4 out of 5 from me based on the above and I love creativity of the collection and the polish names. My personal fave of the collection is Slower Than Molasses.

Hello and welcome back! Here we knocking on the door of 2017 and as I sit and remember this year and all the good times and new experiences I’ve had, one of the highlights has to be working with Lindsey of Tonic Nail Polish. You might call her a magician when it comes to polish and that would be an accurate statement but truly now swatching the 4th collection from Tonic, I’m still in awe at her work and each masterpiece she creates.

From collection 1, as I unbox each polish, the same thought comes to mind, ‘this is my favorite!’ But how could it be that every polish you see you love?! It’s like finding something you didn’t know you were missing and trust me, this collection does not disappoint.

It is with great excitement and joy that I give you Tonic’s Holiday 2016 Collection!!
